I don't know how unusual my cravings were, but I sure do remember the things I couldn't stop eating during my pregnancies.

My boys asked recently asked to go to Dairy Queen. And I saw in the fridge there something that I hadn't had since I was pregnant with Christopher. The Dilly Bar. I hadn't even thought about having one in years, but the minute I noticed it all of those first pregnancy memories came rushing back. And I had to have another one for old time's sake.

That was my biggest craving during my first pregnancy. And they still taste just as good to me now as they did then. I always had the chocolate outside and vanilla ice cream inside. It's a pretty light snack, as far as ice cream in concerned -- reduced fat ice cream, (36% less fat than compared to premium ice cream bars if you want to get specific) --which is probably how I justified eating so many of them while pregnant, lol.

My other big craving while carrying my first child was egg sandwiches with cheese and sausage on an english muffin. I ate a ton of those, too. For some strange reason, they helped curb my morning sickness.

When I got pregnant the second time, my biggest craving was for Cappuccino Blasts from Baskin Robbins. I had far more of these than any human should...and I can still perfectly conjure up the taste of this awesome drink in my mind...enough to make my mouth water. I'd always ask for extra whipped cream with cinnamon sprinkled on top. Wow. What memories that brings back.

And the one thing that helped with my morning sickness during pregnancy #2 were McDonald's french fries -- nothing else would help, not even another brand of fries.

Obviously I won't even try to justify that any of this was in any way healthy, but it was what it was. And I survived it all and so did my beautiful boys.
