The Christie administration today announced the selection of New Jersey’s 21 County Teachers of the Year for the 2012-13 school year.

From the New Jersey State Department of Education:

Amanda Galante graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in International Business Administration. She holds CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+ certifications and is pursuing a master’s degree in Cybersecurity at the University of Maryland University College. She has customized the networking curriculum at RBR to include unique offerings such as Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics. She coaches the Technology Competitions teams which won the National Title in the Cyberpatriot III Challenge and First Prize in the 2011 NYU-Polytechnic CyberForensics contest, as well as NJ State Champions in the Cyberfoundations Challenge. She was named the 2011 NJ Air Force Association Teacher of the Year.

1st-5th GRADE GIFTED & TALENTED

From the New Jersey State Department of Education:

Nancy Evans has dedicated her 25 year career to teaching exceptional children in Brick Township. Currently teaching elementary gifted education, Nancy was the recipient of a fellowship from the Gifted Child Society and attended the Confratute at the University of Connecticut. She is a published author and was recently honored at Kappa Delta Pi Celebration of 100 Years of Excellence. Nancy’s passion and teacher leadership have led to her being a three time winner of the Governor’s Teacher Recognition Award. She is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, has an M.Ed.in Exceptional Children from Rutgers University, and continued graduate classes in Instructional Technology at Georgian Court College.
