A January fundraiser did so well to benefit local schools ravaged by Hurricane Sandy, that a second one is planned to get more schools back on their feet.

Shore Up Our Schools II will benefit Hugh J. Boyd Elementary in Seaside Heights and Memorial School in Union Beach.

It takes place this Saturday, March 2nd at Martell's Tiki Bar on the boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach from 5p - midnight, and will again feature local musicians like Under Pressure, The Mike Dalton Band, Undisputed, and The E-Street Shuffle.

Tickets are $25 and include a complimentary buffet.

$20 from every ticket will go directly to the schools, and $5 will go to Shore2Recover, a non-profit based out of Point Pleasant Beach committed to helping local families and business recover from Sandy. (501(c)3 status pending)

January's Shore Up Our Schools event raised more than $25,000 for Antrim Elementary PTO, Point Pleasant Beach PTO, Bay Head Elementary, and Lavallette Elementary, with all of the money going to them.

You can buy tickets directly at Martell's or at shore2recover.com. Call Stephanie Salardino with any questions at 908-420-8954.
