Search is on for Domino’s Pizza Armed Robbery suspect in Howell

He wasn't looking for pizza, he wanted money and police are hoping you can help them catch the man wanted for an armed robbery at Domino's Pizza in the Roseland Shopping Plaza on Wednesday night around 11:15 pm.

Howell Police Communications received a 9-1-1 call reporting an armed robbery and when patrol officers arrived on the scene they learned that a male subject whose face was covered with a bandana entered the store and handed the cashier a note insinuating that she should open the register and give him money.

Police say he also had what appeared to be dark paint or makeup around his eyes to conceal his skin tone.

He also had what appeared to be a kitchen knife in his possession.

The cashier handed over a small amount of cash and there were no injuries as a result of the robbery.

The suspect said there were others watching the cashier from the outside and advised not her to contact the police.

As he exited, witnesses say he acted as if he was communicating through an earpiece before heading off towards Route 9.

A perimeter was set up and a Howell Police Service Dog was deployed.

The track led behind Popeyes and into the Heritage Point residential development where the search concluded.

Video obtained from a nearby business confirmed the path of the suspect.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes assisted processing the scene.

Howell Police Detectives are asking residents to review their security camera footage.
