Dead Shark Washes Up on Belmar Beach

A dead shark washed up on the Belmar Beach yesterday afternoon.

The small small shark surfaced on the sand of the Eighth Avenue Beach at about 4 p.m. yesterday.

Police confirmed that the shark was dead, and that it was removed by the town's Department of Public Works.

It's still not clear what type of shark it was, or what killed it.
