A few days ago, I revealed some exciting news: Six Flags Great Adventure will be opening their Safari Adventure this Summer....just with a few adjustments.

To help practice social distancing, the Safari Adventure will now be a self drive-thru experience and we now know when it is going to open!

Six Flags Great Adventure's Safari Adventure will be opening up on May 30th and will operate daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM -- weather permitting of course.

Active members, season pass holders and single-day ticket holders can make reservations beginning May 27th at 10 AM EST HERE.

You MUST register in advance to be able to enter.

There are also, just like all other businesses these days, a list of safety precautions that are going to be put into effect for this season:

Keep all windows, doors and convertible tops closed

Do not feeding or touch the animals

No smoking, littering or stopping

Cars, SUVs and consumer pickup trucks with empty beds only – no buses, campers, RVs, commercial vehicles or trucks larger than a consumer pickup truck

Maximum speed of 5 mph and cars must maintain safe distance between other cars and animals.

All vehicles will be inspected prior to entering the safari, rules will be enforced throughout the journey by park staff, and anyone who violates the rules will be ejected from the park without a refund and possibly prosecuted.

In addition, Six Flags employees will go through daily health screenings and temperature checks. They will also be wearing masks and gloves.

Six Flags is asking that all customers think ahead when it comes to restroom breaks, gasoline and food. Only portable toilets will be available upon entering and exiting.
