When the ground started shaking on Thursday afternoon, it seemed like everyone in New Jersey thought we might be having an earthquake.

Turns out - supposedly - that it was caused by sonic booms from fighter jets running supersonic test flights off the coast. Naturally, this week's cocktail will pay homage to this week's most talked about phrase.

The U.S.G.S. first reported that the sonic boom was recorded over Hammonton, NJ a.k.a the blueberry capital of the world. So of course this drink will have some blueberries in it!

And since a sonic boom is all about sending out a shockwave, we'll add a little extra something to give this cocktail a kick!

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. blueberry vodka
  • 1 oz. lemon moonshine (like from Ole Smoky)
  • 4 oz. fresh lemonade
  • fresh blueberries
  • lemon wedge (to garnish)

Muddle some fresh blueberries in a tall glass. Add ice, blueberry vodka, and lemonade. Stir, and top with lemon moonshine. Garnish with lemon wedge, and enjoy the ride!

*Please drink responsibly.*
