Tomorrow (3/14) is Pi Day, a completely made up holiday to celebrate the wonder that is Pi...the mathematical constant we usually approximate as 3.14.

Well, if we're gonna celebrate a holiday, we're gonna need an appropriate cocktail, right?

It only seems natural to celebrate Pi with...pie.

This week, we're making a pie martini, and I'm going with blueberry (cause it's my dad's favorite, and I've already done a caramel apple pie martini!)

Ingredients:

  • 75 oz. blueberry vodka
  • 1.5 oz. vanilla vodka
  • 2 oz. blueberry juice cocktail (like by Ocean Spray)
  • splash of cream (optional)
  • graham cracker crumbs, to garnish
  • fresh blueberries, to garnish

Rim a chilled cocktail glass by dipping it into a bit of blueberry juice, and then into the graham crumbs. (You could also use blueberry jam instead of juice to make it a little easier for the crumbs to stick.) Shake the remaining ingredients with ice, and strain into the rimmed glass. Garnish with a few fresh blueberries! Enjoy!

There are SO many ways to change up this cocktail, but for a more intensive and homemade touch on this recipe, try swapping out the blueberry vodka for plain vodka muddled with fresh blueberries and a bit of simple syrup, or infusing your own vodka with blueberries and vanilla bean pod!

Switch it up:

Use cherry or raspberry instead of blueberry.
Use more or less vodka, juice, or cream to suit your tastes.
Use unsweetened blueberry juice for a less sweet drink.

Cheers!

*Please drink responsibly.*
