It's the show that many have been following from the beginning, or in my case have been binge-watching on Netflix. The cast of "Sons of Anarchy" is coming to Asbury Park for a Superstorm Sandy benefit. But, what's the Jersey connection?

"Sons of Anarchy" creator Kurt Sutter is a Garden State native who grew up in Clark and, like many, spent summers down the Shore. In a recent interview he said

"I'm a Jersey boy, born, bred and beaten. When Sandy hitand [messed] up the state, the initial outpouring of aid was fantastic, but a year later, only a fraction of the damage has been repaired. I wanted to do something to help, not just with some cash, but also to remind folks that people in South Jersey still need aid and services. They need a break."

The "Sons of Anarchy" fan event will happen at Asbury Park's Paramount Theatre on November 10th. Procedes will benefit the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund and Staten Strong.

Sutter's wife, Katey Sagal, also known as Peg Bundy and current mother of the gang leader will be at the at the event. They'll be joined by Kim Coates, who plays Tig Trager, and Theo Rossi, who plays Juan Carlos "Juice" Ortiz.

They will be offering an advance screening of the season six's newest episode, followed by a question-and-answer session with Sutter and the actors. VIP and general admission tickets are sold out, time to start checking online auctions. All the proceeds from original ticket sales go directly to the two charitable organizations.
