As a bit of a hopeless romantic, I have always liked Valentine's Day, but like most singles, found it sort of difficult to be happy with all the lovey-dovey stuff all over the place when I had no one to share it with. I have for years called this day "Single Persons Awareness Day" and have celebrated it as such. Until today.

Today I got roses. Sent to my job. From a guy who isn't my Dad.

And so I cross over to the dark side. From the girl who wonders what it's like to be surprised with flowers, to the girl who is on the brink of (happy) tears because a guy she likes sent her a bouquet.

And let me tell you, it's nice on the dark side.  (I'm telling you guys, it doesn't take much to make women happy.)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Who has it better: singles or couples?
