Afternoon Coffee Rush In New Jersey

I'm someone who usually needs a little caffeine pick-me-up around 3 pm to get me through the rest of the afternoon. A small cup of coffee, or even just a Diet Coke, usually does the trick and gives me that extra boost I need.

So I found it interesting when I heard that Starbucks is getting busier and busier even after the morning rush. Of course, we all know the popular coffee shop is packed early in the day, with everyone grabbing their coffee before work, but now there are also lines forming again between about 3 and 5 in the afternoon.

Starbucks Sees Afternoon Rush As Caffeine Cravings Rise

Have you noticed?

It makes total sense! That's exactly when I start to feel like I need a little jolt of caffeine too. Starbucks reports that they're seeing a bigger rush between 3 and 5 pm and that Refreshers are becoming one of their top-selling beverages. There are so many delicious flavors out for the summer, including the Tropical Butterfly Refresher for you to try.

A nice coffee in the morning and a Refresher in the afternoon sounds like a pretty good daily combination, but that's way too expensive to do every day! Maybe coffee at home in the morning and treat yourself to a Refresher in the afternoon!

When it comes to food, New Jersey is known for many things such as pizza and pork roll. Don't count us out when it comes to coffee.

With all the hustle and bustle involved in the average New Jersey resident's day, coffee is essential. It doesn't matter whether you're living in the cities of North Jersey or the vacation spots at the shore.

In fact, as the former owner of two Jersey shore coffee houses, Coffee Dot Comedy in Sea Isle City and the Daily Grind in Ocean Grove, I know firsthand how much people at the Jersey shore love their coffee.

With respect to that, I asked my social media following where the best coffee houses at the Jersey Shore were, especially since my two places no longer exist.

Below is what they came up with. (And see this other article for their coffee shop and cafe recommendations for Central Jersey.)
