Not only is this retailer closing, but they're selling their intellectual property as well.

It's becoming more and more difficult for brick and mortar stores to survive in the digital world we live in. Charlotte Russe is not immune.

The women's fashion store founded in 1975, has been in financial trouble for over a year.

While other retailers are slowly shutting locations down, Charlotte Russe is closing down all of their locations. That includes their spaces at Freehold Raceway Mall, Monmouth Mall in Eatontown, and Ocean County Mall in Toms River.

Now is the time to get in on some deals. Liquidation sales have begun at all of the stores which are expected to close for good by the end of April. The last day to use gift cards is March 21.

One has to wonder what are the malls going to go with all of this empty space? The list of closings continues to grow. With consumers drifting to digital shopping, what kind of business will survive in malls?
