Study – New Jersey Roads Are Nearly The Worst In America
So, how bad are New Jersey roads? According to a recent report, nearly the worst in the country.
According to a study by the Reason Foundation, and reported at patch.com, New Jersey ranks at #48 for roadway conditions. The study took into consideration things like fatalities on state roads, conditions of the pavement, bridges and other structures and the number of repairs, among other things.
There wasn't much good news when it came to spending, either. New Jersey ranks 50th in " total disbursements per mile and 45th in administrative disbursements per mile." And if you're wondering whether we're improving at all, the answer is no. In the past 5 years, the Garden State's overall rank has dropped two places. and there's not much room to move further down.
