There are so many places to choose from! Crabs Claw Inn in Lavallette, Dina’s Bistro in Toms River, Rella’s “An Italian Tavern” in Brielle, Windward Tavern in Brick, Avenue in Long Branch, and The Breakers on the Ocean in Spring Lake just to name a few.

Restaurant Week runs twice a year at the Jersey Shore, in November and April, months which are usually a slower time of year for restaurants.

I spoke with JSRW Chairman Jim Flynn who says, people eat out 50% more during Restaurant Week than a normal week. He says, it’s a great opportunity for the restaurant to showcase what they do and for people to try new restaurants.

It’s been taking place for nearly 15 years now and most of the restaurants have been a part of it from the very beginning.

Flynn is looking forward to a really good week. He believes everyone likes to support local restaurants whenever they can.

There are some other fun events leading up to the big week including, the Tito’s Cocktail Challenge! Area bartenders will compete for the best drink at the Jersey Shore.

There will also be food and live music.
