Freckles has once again been returned to the shelter when his latest owner had to move.

Through absolutely no fault of his own and just too much bad luck, our Point Pet of the Week is once gain adjusting to shelter life.

Freckles was recently returned to the Monmouth County SPCA when his adopter suddenly had to move and couldn’t take this sweet dog along.

It amazes me that this Freckles still has such an incredible spirit! He’s happy to see all of his friends again here at the shelter but all everyone wants for this amazing boy is for him to find a forever home!

Freckles, MCSPCA

Freckles is a 9-year-old Pittie who originally came to the MCSPCA after Hurricane Sandy and was then claimed a year later by his original family.

But then he was bounced around among different families and shelters for 7 years of his life (!!!) until being transferred to the MCSPCA a couple of months ago.

Freckles spent time in a Loveafoster home where he did wonderfully. He was then adopted and the shelter folks thought this would be his happily ever after home but, unfortunately, it was not. Because that owner suddenly had to move and leave him behind :(

Freckles is a happy boy who walks like an angel on leash, keeps himself occupied with toys and is always ready to snuggle up after a long day.

A home without other pets and a private yard would be best for Freckles as living in shelters for most of his life has made him a bit anxious around other animals.

Freckles is a total couch potato who will run around at full tilt for 10 minutes and then sleep for 10 hours, lol!

There's got to be someone out there who has the perfect home for this loving dog. If you or someone you know can truly give Freckles his forever home, send an email to adoptions@monmouthcountyspca.org with “Freckles” in the subject line.
