Every now and then you just need to bust out a good jam to show your love of the red, white, and blue. Here's 5 of my favorites:

5. Rockin' in the Free World - Neil Young

Okay, so not exactly patriotic if you listen to all the lyrics, but whatever, I'm celebrating our freedom today, and our ability to keep rockin'.

4. Born in the U.S.A. - Bruce Springsteen

Again, technically not a patriotic song, but one of the most requested on the 4th. Can't hate on The Boss.

3. God Bless the U.S.A. - Lee Greenwood

The lyrics say it all: "I'm proud to be an American/where at least I know I'm free/And I won't forget the ones who died/who gave that right to me". For all of you who are offended by the God thing, stop ruining it and enjoy the song, will you?

2. America - Neil Diamond

I don't know how anyone could not like this song. It's driving, catchy, and who doesn't love to imitate Neil Diamond's voice??

1. Star-Spangled Banner – Whitney Houston

Far and away the best version of the national anthem ever done. It's downright epic, and gives me goosebumps every time.

So there you go, no better way to say, "Happy Birthday America!"
