The Christmas Train Spreads Holiday Cheer in this Monmouth County, NJ Town
No one really knows when the train under the tree tradition started during the holidays. This is one of those traditions that many people love. Then the cars are pieces together, connected in order, then attached to the engine.
Then the moment of truth, does it still work?
Either you pull a lever or turn a dial, something to breathe life into this electrified, holiday tradition. Then, without fail, it just doesn't work. Most of the time, someone forgot to plug it in. It happens right?
Fortunately, this tradition lives on in Spring Lake, New Jersey.

Is a Christmas train part of your tradition? There is definitely an appeal to it. My oldest is starting to ask if we can get one. Her grandfather set one up at their house for her. She was absolutely mesmerized by the set.
If you're not in a market or just do not have the time for a train setup at home, Spring Lake's Christmas Train Village is definitely worth the visit.
