The Day Lou Gave Liz A Gift

It might be hard to believe, but today was the day I broke down and gave Liz an early Christmas gift. And yes,  it was sparkly.

So, how did this all happen? Well, it all started at a meeting I had a few weeks ago at Earth Treasures Jewelers. One of the great staff members at ET, I think it was Janelle, saw a piece of jewelry she thought Liz would like.

I basically said, yea, I'll tell her about it, but before I knew it, I was agreeing to give a gift to my radio partner this year. Talk about a surprise plot twist to this year's holiday season. I wonder if this will start a precedent.

John Baghsarian, our friend from ET, was kind enough to drop off the unlikely gift at the Point studios this morning, and let's just say Liz was a little more than surprised and thrilled.

Now the big question is what will Liz get me? Will it be shiny also? Has this plot twist changed the dynamic between us. The answers are probably nothing, probably not and I seriously doubt it.

But it was fun to see the look on her face when she was presented with a gift from of all people...me. Now, that's the true spirit of giving.
