The Iron Whale is now open for brunch, lunch, and dinner and is a gorgeous addition to the Asbury Park Boardwalk!

It was almost a year ago that I wrote a blog about The Iron Whale being built, and the wait was surprisingly short because they have opened their doors already!

There is absolutely nothing as great as dining outside on a summer day or night just steps from the sand and sea...all while people-watching with the action of a thriving boardwalk.

Inside there are all different kinds of dining options in terms of fabulous seating, plus a gorgeous, huge bar! I love the big, round booths but there are also some incredible copper-top tables that I would love to dine at! The atmosphere and décor are stunning!

Located next to the Robinson Ale House and Tim McLoone's Supper Club (near Convention Hall) The Iron Whale has a unique and fabulous menu thanks to Chef Mike Dolan.

On weekdays The Iron Whale opens at 11am, and Friday through Sunday they open at 10 am with some mouth-watering brunch items that you won't find anywhere else, such as "Toad in a Whale"!

Their lunch is delicious, too, and I hope to get back there for dinner soon :) I also have to mention the quality of the servers. The staff at The Iron Whale is so friendly and accommodating. They really go out of their way to be helpful and to anticipate your needs.

And if you enter the restaurant from the Ocean Avenue side, you will be greeted with a wall of windows overlooking the ocean that rivals the view from any cruise ship!

And don't skip dessert...there are so many mouth-watering choices plus the ultra-fun 'milk and cookies'!

Tim McLoone -- you have done it again! In addition to Holiday Express (which spreads love, support, and music to those in need at Christmastime) and being officially inducted recently to the NJ Hall of Fame (!!!), your restaurants are synonymous with the Jersey Shore and we love dining at all of your phenomenal NJ restaurants!
