The Moment You Become an Adult

There are moments in everyone's life when you finally feel like an adult: graduating from college; getting your first full-time job; seeing friends get married and have children...

Today, I reached a milestone.

This morning I bought a washer and dryer.

More importantly, I was EXCITED to buy a washer and dryer.

Who knew how many decisions there were to make...top-load, front-load, Energy Star-certified, high efficiency, stackable, stainless steel, warranties, protection plans...

And I was fine deciding on all of it. I am the proud owner of a Whirlpool Duet series set.

For the first time in my life I'm moderately excited to do laundry. (I'm sure the novelty will wear off real quick, and I'll be back to hating it as much as I always have.)

Today, I feel like a grown-up. And I have no idea how that happened.
