With the typical summer heat and humidity upon us, we're all looking for ways to stay cool here in New Jersey. There's really no better way than with a scoop (or three) of ice cream.

So where's the best place to get it here in the Garden State?

Foursquare named the most popular ice cream shop in each state based on user tips, likes and shares. (Did anyone else think, "Wait, people are still using Foursquare?" I digress.)

So what's the most popular spot for ice cream here in Jersey? Lucky for us, it's right here at the Jersey Shore: Hoffman's!

The original in Point Pleasant Beach got the big honor, but they also have locations in Spring Lake Heights, Little Silver, and Long Branch all serving up the ice cream made in the Point Beach store.

Hoffman's is so legendary here at the Shore, it's even been featured on the Travel Channel show Man vs. Food Nation!

My favorite flavors are the Coconut Joy and the Espresso Mocha Chunk, but seriously you can never go wrong with Hoffman's ice cream!
