The Undead Are Invading Asbury Park This Weekend

The 11^th Annual Zombie Walk in Asbury Park is this Saturday.  Bring your zombie-self to the boardwalk at 3 p.m. and be one of the lucky people to receive a contestant sticker from one of the judges walking the boards. The sticker means you’re a finalist in the Zombie Costume Contest. You’ll be entered to win one of several cash prizes from Johnny Mac’s House of Spirits. The categories include Best Child, Best Adult, Best Couple and Best Group. The First Prize is $200.00, Second Prize is $150.00 and the Third Prize is $100.00. Zombie Finalists should meet outside of Johnny Mac’s House of Spirits on Main Street for the final round of judging after the Walk.

Be creative with your costume ideas and remember, no prop weapons are allowed. Need some help getting your “Zombie On?” There will be a Pro Make-Up Artist Alley inside the Convention Hall. The Zombie Event Schedule is 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.:

1 p.m.: Thriller Dance Workshop outside the Paramount Theatre

2 p.m.: The Jell-O Brain Eating Contest

3 p.m.: Judges will be selecting finalists on the boardwalk

6 p.m. - 8 p.m.: Zombie Walk Finish Line on Mattison and Main Street

9 p.m.-?: Zombie After Party at Johnny Mac’s
