Our Point Pet of the Week needs someone to commit to her and not leave her stranded.

Melón is a 2-year old Pitbull momma who was brought to the Monmouth County SPCA by animal control when she was found in a crate with her 6 puppies.

The MCSPCA put her in a foster home for a little extra TLC and she is just so happy to feel loved.

Melón's foster mom says she is super sweet, loves snuggles, and is great on a leash.  She loves food so much she even does a little happy dance when it's time to eat.

This sweet girl is a 50-pound lap dog, very affectionate and loves to snuggle. Unfortunately the MCSPCA does not have a history of Melón with young children so they would recommend she goes home to a family whose children are over 10 years old.

If you would like more information on this sweet girl, please give the MCSPCA a call at 732-542-5962 to speak with a canine adoption team member.

For serious inquiries, please visit the website to fill out a canine matchmaker profile and email it over to them!

This shelter is open by appointment only so that they can respect social distancing, but now more than ever is the time to adopt a wonderful pet to get that unconditional love during these scary times.
