A Manchester woman was among those injured in a three car collision on Route 70 near Ridgeway Road Friday morning around 8:12 am.

Police say Catherine Golomb, 72, of Manchester was heading east in a Toyota Corolla on Route 70 when she tried turning left onto Ridgeway but was hit on the passenger side by a Ford Transit driven by Fabio Oliveira, 29, of Manasquan.

As a result of the impact Golomb struck a Ford EcoSport driven by Robin Miller, 62, of Bayville which was stopped at the traffic signal on Ridgeway Road.

Each vehicle had extensive damage.

Golomb complained of chest pain and was transported by medivac helicopter to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, where she was listed in critical but stable condition.

Oliveira was taken to Jersey Shore University Hospital in Neptune, to be treated for the complaint of upper torso and knee pain.

There were two passengers in the Ford Transit, 39-year-old, Juan Cirano of Freehold and 26-year-old, Zachary Childs of Forked River who refused medical attention as did Miller.

This crash is being investigated by Sergeant Antonio Ellis of the Manchester Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit.
