Tommy Cienkowski is the original owner who grew up on a farm right next door.

He came home from the Army and opened the ice cream stand in 1949.

He expanded the business a few years later.

He opened the diner in 1952 and it's been there ever since!

Sadly, Mr. Cienkowski passed away 10 years ago at the age of 91.

His wife passed away a few years later.

According to an article on 70and73.com, Deborah Ware said, "I always took care of him, his house and his wife Marion. When she passed away, I inherited the dairy."

Evergreen Dairy Bar is located at 1643 Route 70 in Southhampton.

It's open from 5 am to 2 pm every day except Tuesdays, when it stays open until 7 pm.

The ice cream dairy bar is open until 9 pm every day.
