Ocean County investigators teamed up to put an end to four New Jersey residents responsible for allegedly dealing cocaine in the area.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced the culmination of a cooperative multi-agency investigation into illegal drug activity.

Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, Berkeley Township Police Department, Beachwood Police Department, Barnegat Township Police Department, South Toms River Police Department and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office were conducting a crime suppression detail last Saturday in South Toms River and the Manitou Park section of Berkeley Township.

Surveillance units watched as David Spinks, 42, of Toms River met with Michael Everitt, 32, of Bayville and Kevin Banks, 37, of Lakewood in Manitou Park.

Detectives then observed transactions where Spinks distributed illegal narcotics to Everitt and Banks.

Following the drug deal, detectives conducted motor vehicle stops of all three individuals.

Everitt was found to be in possession of approximately ten grams of Cocaine and a quantity of Xanax tablets.

Banks was found to be in possession of approximately ten grams of Cocaine.

Spinks was found to be in possession of approximately one-hundred grams of Cocaine, quantities of Xanax tablets and Marijuana, approximately $1,800 in cash, and a .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun.

Kristian Myres, 44, of Blackwood, was a passenger in Spinks’ vehicle.

Spinks, Myres, Everitt and Banks have all been arrested and are facing a string of charges.

“We will continue to share information with our law enforcement partners in an effort to combat the sale of illegal narcotics in Ocean County.  We will not waiver in our pursuit of anyone that dares to deal drugs or illegal weapons in our community” Prosecutor Billhimer said.

David Spinks was charged with Possession of Cocaine in an amount greater than one-half ounce but less than five ounces with Intent to Distribute in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(2); two counts of Possession of Cocaine in an amount less than one-half ounce with Intent to Distribute in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(3); Distribution of less than one-half ounce of Cocaine in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(3); three counts of Possession of Cocaine in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); Possession of Alprazolam in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); Possession of Marijuana in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-4a(1); Possession of a Weapon in the Course of Committing a Controlled Dangerous Substance Offense in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-4.1; Being a Certain Person not to Possess a Weapon in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-7a; and Obstructing the Administration of Law in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:29-1b.

Spinks is currently lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.

Michael Everitt was charged with Possession of Cocaine in an amount less than one-half ounce with Intent to Distribute in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(3); Possession of Cocaine in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); and Possession of various Prescription Drugs without Valid Prescriptions in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1).

Everitt was processed and released pending a future court appearance.

Kevin Banks was charged with Possession of Cocaine in an amount less than one-half ounce with Intent to Distribute in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(3); Possession of Cocaine in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); and Eluding in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:29-2b.

Banks was processed and released pending a future court appearance.

Kristian Myres was charged with Wandering in a Public Place to Obtain a Controlled Dangerous Substance in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:33-2.1.

Myers was processed and released pending a future court appearance.
