Happy Pride Month everyone!

Go show off that rainbow because the pride celebration is expanding across the Jersey Shore!

On Saturday, June 22nd, downtown Toms River will be hosting their first-ever Pride Festival! 

The festival will be on Robbins Street from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM and the celebration will include games, a scavenger hunt, vendors, food trucks, and room to picnic and relax.

According to Patch.com, the event is hosted and organized by Exit 82 Theatre on Robbins Street and the day also, "celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, which saw members of the LGBTQ community fight back against prejudice in Greenwich Village in June 1969."

There are also other events scheduled for the day:

** While many activities along Robbins Street are free, guests may purchase tickets to the live performances online and at the door, which can include a $20 day pass. 

1:00 PM - Drag Bingo at the theater located at 73 Main Street. It costs $15 at the door.

1:00 PM to 4:00 PM - a Family Pride Event at the Exit 82 Studio, 34C Main Street where attendees can, "Learn about diversity and inclusion, gather resources, meet new people, and partake in fun crafting and self-expression!" 

4:00 PM - which include a "Spill The Tea" event at the 600 Main Victorian Tea Room and you can make reservations by calling (732) 818-7580.

4:00 PM to 6:00 PM - an open mic show at Exit 82 Studio Theater.

6:00 PM to 8:00 PM - Artisans Restaurant located at 1171 Hooper Ave will be hosting a happy hour with food and drink specials.

To close out the day, the theater is hosting the Izzy Uncut Drag Show which the theater warns, "Parental discretion advised." Tickets cost $20 and is not included in the day pass.
