Two Ocean County men arrested during a drug deal near hospital
The Ocean County Prosecutors Office Narcotics Strike Force caught two men in the middle of a drug deal on Hospital Drive in Toms River leading to their arrests, announced Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer.
Detectives from the Narcotics Strike Force were conducting a street level drug suppression detail in the area of Hospital Drive, which is where Community Medical Center is located in Toms River, when they observed two individuals engaged in suspicious activity indicative of an illegal drug sale.
Strike Force Detectives approached the two individuals who were identified as David Jannarone, 49, of Toms River and Paul Kulberda, 37, of Ocean Gate.
As a result of the Strike Force Detective’s interaction with both men, a quantity of prescription drugs, specifically Adderall and Suboxone were seized.
Both men were arrested and transported to the Toms River Police Department for processing.
David Jannarone was charged with Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Adderall) in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C: 35-5b, Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C: 35-5b, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1), Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C: 36-2.
Jannarone was released on a summons pending a future court date.
Paul Kulberda was charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Adderall) in violation of N.J.S.A 2C:35-10a(1).
