Two Ocean County residents found with 2-Grand worth of drugs in Manchester
Manchester Police collar two Ocean County residents at a traffic stop in the Leisure Village West Section after finding them in possession of over $2,000.00 worth of drugs on Wednesday.
Members of the Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) spotted their vehicle along Route 70 and Buckingham Drive before police pulled the car over for motor vehicle infractions on Buckingham Drive near Yorkshire Court.
Officers then conducted a search of the vehicle and its two occupants.
Jonathan Witczak, 25, of Barnegat and John Pellegrinelli, 38, of Manchester were allegedly found with 200 bags of heroin, 33 suboxone sublingual films, 4 alprazolam pills, 6 grams of marijuana and drug parapheralia with an approximate street value of over $2,000.00.
The driver, Witczak, was charged with one count each of Possession of and Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin, Possession of and Possession with Intent to Distribute Suboxone, Possession of Alprazolam, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Hypodermic Syringes, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to Surrender CDS.
He was lodged in Ocean County Jail in lieu of bail.
The passenger, Pellegrinelli, was charged with one count each of Possession of and Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin, Possession of drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to Surrender CDS.
Pellegrinelli was lodged in Ocean County Jail in lieu of bail.
The 2013 Hyundai Elantra that was driven was seized during the investigation, as well as approximately $517.00 in cash, both pending forfeiture.
Also assisting in the investigation were members of the Manchester Township Police K9 Unit.
