Desperate times call for desperate measures...after a recent decision to end Saturday mail delivery come August, the U.S. Postal Service is taking on the fashion world in hopes of turning a profit.

Wait, what?

The new 'Rain Heat & Snow' (like their motto, get it?) line of clothing and accessories won't be sold at post offices, but rather at high-end stores. The line will only be available for men at first, but there are plans to include products for women eventually.

The gear is set to hit stores in 2014.

While I appreciate their thinking outside the box while trying to make some cash and drum up publicity...I don't know that I'd actually buy 'post office gear' unless I was, you know, WORKING FOR THE POST OFFICE.

Hey, I suppose if the all-weather gear was super-functional, and looked decent, it could deliver for them. (Hi-yo!)

Somehow I don't see this working out.
