The downtown post office in Toms River could be relocating as part of an overall redevelopment plan that was recently approved.

The new location is expected to be near Seacourt Pavilion which would leave the post office's original location open for high-rise housing.

Some of the businesses being suggested include a Veterans Administration Clinic, a Fire Department Substation and a 50 multifamily townhouse units that would include 10 affordable housing units which would Veterans would be favored to receive.(Did you know Ocean County is the home to more than 42,000 veterans?!)

There is also a bus stop located right in front of this area on Hooper Avenue making it that much favorable for the Veterans Administration Clinic and affordable housing units.
