The Wall Girl Scouts will still host their 7th annual Thanksgiving basket making event Wednesday, November 18th from 5:30-6:30pm. Unfortunately because of the pandemic, this year baskets will be delivered rather than made on site. The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore are asked to make their baskets at specific troop meetings by November 17th and the basket drop off will be at the Brookdale Community College (Wall Campus) on the 18th. All baskets being created will be decorated and filled with nonperishable foods that will benefit Linkages in Tinton Falls. Linkages is a transitional housing program that provides residential services for homeless families in Monmouth County. The program is a two year, two level program structured to enhance self-sufficiency skills for residents to transition into and maintain stable, independent living in the community. A special shoutout and thank you to the Wall Girl Scouts for hosting another wonderful community event. Your dedication to help others during a unique time is something we are all very thankful for!

Keep in mind, drive-thru sign-up membership events to become a Jersey Shore girl scout are also happening this weekend. Sunday, November 15th girls will be able to take part in outdoor activities. They will take place at the following two locations:

-- Camp Sacajawea, 242 Adelphia Road in Farmingdale - 2-4pm

-- The Girl Scouts Ocean Service Center, 1405 Freehold Road in Toms River, 10-Noon
