Wanted: Forever Home After Dog’s Owner Dies

This sweet dog is mourning the loss of her human.

Our Point Pet of the Week is named Pepper...and how appropriate with this beautiful swirl of coloring in her coat.

Pepper is a 9-year old who looks to be a Lab/Hound mix. She can be shy and take a little while to get to know new people.

The Monmouth County SPCA says Pepper used to live with a cat, so she may be able to do that in her next home.

But the shelter staff thinks Pepper would do best in a home with teens or adults due to her fear and some other behavioral concerns, so a calm environment to live out her golden years would be wonderful.

After all, this sweet girl's whole life was turned upside down.
