Then good news!

Wawa is starting to allow people to once again use their self-serve coffee stations and soda machines at select stores.

The goal behind this is to shorten lines by decreasing the number of customers that must be assisted by a Wawa employee.

Customers can be in and out that much quicker and if you decrease the amount of time each person spends inside the store, then they are inside the store for less time and touching fewer surfaces.

Now, of course...there are safety precautions put into place which include:

  • Wrapped stirrers
  • Tissue paper for customer use with the pour handle
  • Social distancing markers to enable customers to maintain a safe distance
  • The presence of the Wawa Clean Force in store, associates dedicated to continuous cleaning tasks above and beyond Wawa’s already-strong protocol

Wawa is guesstimating that only 10 stores per state are allowing the self-serve model to return.

They won't release exactly which stores they have chosen but what we do know is that Wawa locations in Philly and South Jersey are on the list so far.

If you know of a local Wawa that is now allowing self-service coffee stations, let us know and we will help get the word out!
