Weekend Events at the Jersey Shore

Looking for something to do this weekend? Here's what's happening in Monmouth and Ocean Counties this weekend, Jan. 17th - 19th, 2014:

-- A great kids' concert is taking place Sunday at the OCC Theatre. It's the Yosi & Johnny: MEET EUGENE Concert! Yosi is a singer and performer of original children's songs that has appeared all over our area. Eugene is his original 'muppet'-type character that you and your kids will fall in love with!  ("For those too young to stay up for American Idol, Yosi is the biggest rock star there is!" says the Associated Press.) This is an awesome show for younger children to sing and dance along with! It takes place at Ocean County College Arts & Community Center on the campus of Ocean County College in Toms River. Buuilding #18, Parking Lot #2. For tickets, click here. AND THERE'S ANOTHER CONCERT FOR YOUR KIDS WITH YOSI AND MORE:

-- Light of Day 2014 Kids & Family Concert. This concert features all the local rockers our kids love and adore..It's all to support the fight against Parkinson's disease. Your little ones will enjoy Yosi, Miss Amy and her Big Kids Band, Mis Melissa's Aardvarks, Tom Chapin and Mr. Ray! The first band hits the stage at noon on Saturday, and they'll go straight through til 4 pm at McLoone's. $15 per person. To purchase tickets in advance, click here.

-- In the heart of the coldest months, you can play winter golf. Monmouth County Park staffers keep the clubhouse and links active at Bel-Aire in Wall and Charleston Springs North in Millstone, with tee times from 9 am - 3 pm. For details, click here

-- Super Bowl Fun: Football themed activities for fun with the whole family! Kids participate in the football skills and drills, parents help prepare and enjoy super snacks. There will also be a football themed craft. To register, call 732-842-4000. Takes place at the Fort Monmouth Rec Center in Tinton Falls Sunday from 10 am - Noon. $6 per person.
