The back to school season is upon us and a few changes have been discussed for this upcoming school year.

For example, New Jersey schools could soon have security video cameras installed, hire school security officers and stores have even started selling bulletproof backpacks.

But the most recent invention that is being tested throughout schools in New Jersey are bulletproof doors for our classrooms which in essence, will turn each classroom into a safe room.

Plus, these doors are a bit pricey. They cost about $2,500 each. OUCH!

Now, I will never go against something that will keep people that much safer but I must say -- I am personally saddened that this type of invention is even needed in our society today.
