I learned about Ryan's Run a few years ago, and it is a very special event. The Kaiser family lost their son Ryan of heart disease in January 2003, and decided to create a fund in Ryan's honor to help give financial assistance to local families with critically ill children, fund doctors and hospital groups specializing in the care and cure of pediatric heart patients and to build children's playgrounds. Ryan's Run has been an awesome event over the years.
