In case you missed the memo, and don't worry, it seems most people have, Louisiana is currently dealing with the aftermath of what some are calling the worst natural disaster since Hurricane Sandy. (If that doesn't give you a sense of the tragedy, nothing will.) 13 people have died. Tens of thousands have been displaced. People have lost everything. We all know what that kind of devastation looks

A total of 64 homeowners have been charged with filing fraudulent claims since March 2014 in an attempt to acquire Superstorm Sandy relief funds.

Superstorm-weathered families, resituating on limited incomes, can get housing consultation, legal aid and help meeting utility bills in upcoming outreach sessions by New Jersey's six Sandy Housing Counseling Agencies. Toms River and Eatontown are sites for two of them.
