Thanks to a Good Samaritan, five people are safe and sound after being stuck on a sinking boat in the Sandy Hook Bay.

The boat started taking on water near the entrance to the Shrewsbury River. The unidentified hero, managed to save three adults and two children by getting them off the boat.

According to the Coast Guard, the five boaters were taken to Twin Lights Harbor in Highlands for a "wellness check." There were no injuries.
