Well, the anticipation grows as we await the grand opening of the new Farm Store Drive-Thru on Route 37 in Toms River. I originally brought you this story several months ago as construction continued on the new convenience drive-thru.

The wait is about over now as the first Farm Store in New Jersey will open this week with a soft opening on Friday, July 30th. According to a recent APP.Com article, the first New Jersey franchise will do a soft opening Friday and host hours 6 am - 10 pm, with longer hours possible on Friday and Saturdays.

Farm Store's are “drive-thru” convenience stores. Farm Stores have been a convenient last stop on the way home for families for nearly 60 years around the nation, opening in 1958 and now they have come to New Jersey. Shoppers will be able to grab essentials like milk, coffee, cereal and eggs plus unique items like their daily fresh baked bread and fresh squeezed orange juice and lemonade. In addition they have milkshakes, hot soup, smoothies and more. It’s a combination bakery, grocery and cafe.

The Toms River location is located on Route 37 at Lowell Avenue.
