We love our live broadcasts from the Asbury Park Boardwalk, and of course, we love the town as well.

Each Friday we take a look back at the history of this wonderful town and celebrate it's amazing comeback. Today, we are focusing on "Asbury Park firsts". Here are some of them.

First founded. 1871 by James Bradley

First price tag. Bradley bought the property for $90,000.

First incorporated. March 25th, 1897

First construction...of the legendary Elks Lodge 128 Charms Building, 1914

First opened. The Upstage Club opened it's doors for the first time above Thom McAn at 700 Cookman Ave in 1968.

First Bruce Springsteen Asbury Park club. Not the Stone Pony, but at the Upstage Club, according to nj.com.

There are some more great moments in the history of Asbury Park, and we'll have more throughout the summer!
