Six Flags Great Adventure will always be a New Jersey favorite. I'm a huge fan and have been a season pass holder for many years, but unfortunately, it didn't make the list of the best theme parks in America for 2026.

But it's nice to see two standout spots, just a short drive from the Garden State, getting some much-deserved love.

Summer Fun Awaits At America's Top-Rated Theme Parks

I'm excited to see Hershey Park made the list.

Oh, the memories! Waking up early, hitting the road, and making the easy two-hour drive from New Jersey into Pennsylvania for a day full of fun.

We always started at Chocolate World and then made our way into the park. On a super hot day, I remember heading straight to the water park section. That huge log flume ride was the best. Then we would make our way to all the rollercoasters and my favorite, the tower drop ride!

And what makes your Hershey Park visit really stand out is staying at The Hotel Hershey, which was named Best Theme Park Hotel.

Another theme park to make the list is Knoebels in Elysburg, Pennsylvania. If you've never been, it's a must-visit. It's home to the best wooden roller coaster in America, named Phoenix.

Talk about fun! This thing is HUGE!
