Big Retail Chain is Closing More Stores, Will They Close at the Jersey Shore
The announcement came Wednesday that Victoria's Secrets will be closing 30 - 50 more stores in the US and Canada.
Victoria's Secrets is home to gorgeous lingerie, bras, and more.
The closing of more stores comes after Victoria's Secrets closed 241 stores in 2020, according to cnn.com. Victoria's Secrets is owned by L Brands. They also own PINK and Bath and Body Works.
No specific locations were mentioned which stores will be closing in the report this past week, but it sure does seem like Victoria's Secret will have a lower profile in the US and possibly New Jersey.
Victoria's Secrets is located at the Ocean County Mall in Toms River, the Monmouth Mall in Eatontown, and in Freehold at the Freehold Raceway Mall.
L Brands, says " Bath and Body Works is expanding with the opening of about 50 stores in the US. As far as Victoria's Secret is concerned, the L Brands company has been trying to cut ties from the once-mighty lingerie chain.
Their brands are primarily known for lingerie, personal care, beauty products, and accessories. Together and individually, these brands have come to represent an aspirational lifestyle — a way of life. L Brands help customers to feel sexy, bold, and powerful, according to their website.
In 2020, when stores closed, and up to 50 closing this year, Victoria's Secret will have about 850 locations still in place. From reports, L Brands had plans of separating from Victoria's Secret by end of January.
Hulu will have a three-part documentary "The Rise and Fall of Victoria's Secret."
