The Lighthouse Film Festival is in LBI tonight through the weekend, and some local residents have a film running on Saturday night starring Evan Peters!

The Lighthouse International Film Festival starts today in Long Beach Island, showing some awesome films including one from a production company, Aloupis Productions, formed by three Monmouth County residents: Tony Aloupis, Joe Krieg, and Carol Stark.Their film will be showing this Saturday night, June 6th.

Their film, "Safelight", will show on Saturday night, June 6th. It has also been shown at the Nashville Film Festival and in Newport Beach.

The cast includes Evan Peters from American Horror Story and X-Men: Days of Future Past, Juno Temple, Christine Lahti, and Jason Beghe from Chicago PD.

Safelight opens with a tense scene in which Juno Temple's character is threatened by her boyfriend/pimp and Evan Peters intervenes, putting himself at risk for a girl he doesn’t really know. Thus begins their story and Safelight seamlessly weaves these two together as they form an unlikely travel duo, seeking lighthouses up the California coast to photograph.

Director Tony Aloupis perfectly captures a moment in life when everything seems possible, with a pitch-perfect eye to period detail and story. Featuring tremendous performances, including a memorable supporting turn from Christine Lahti (Chicago Hope), Safelight promises, and delivers, on its potential for greatness.
