Do you remember Wolfie's Deli & Restaurant in Toms River that closed last fall?

Well at the end of 2019, we told you what would replace the Jersey Shore deli and now we have an update!

After Burger 25 in Toms River has been open for business for 7 years, they are nearly ready to open at their newer, bigger location.

On August 1st, Burger 25 will open at their new address: 199 Route 37 in Toms River -- aka the old location of Wolfie's Deli & Restaurant.

Burger 25's original location which was 1611 Route 37 is already permanently closed.

The new restaurant will include a walk-up window for take out orders and an indoor arcade for the kids....and kid-like adults.

This new location is double the size of their original and has 88 available seats indoors and room for 80 outdoor diners.

"The goal is a better customer atmosphere," said co-owner Denise Vetter on their decision to go bigger. "When the community invests in you, we wanted to invest in them. We wanted to create a bigger, better Burger 25, just make it an amazing experience for everyone."

And you'll like this: the kitchen is HUGE which means they have the resources to add new menu items!

"We added a new burger to the menu: chicken and waffles, featuring Mike's Hot Honey," Vetter said. "It was an all-time top-selling burger during the pandemic (as a special). And we are adding something amazing to our desserts: frozen hot doughnuts." (Think ice cream sandwich but with warm doughnuts.)

The 2.0 version of Burger 25 was supposed to open back in May but I'll give you one guess of what threw a wrench in that plan: the pandemic.

BUT....better late than never.

And FROZEN HOT DOUGHNUTS?!?! I am going to say that this place is going to be well worth the wait.
