For some, social media is a place to post those oh so perfect selfies because if you got it, flaunt it. But for others, it could be for a much more amusing trend.

A 21-year old student named Michelle Liu has decided to take a stand against perfect beauty standards that are expected from each social media post by doing something of her very own called "Chinning."

"My chinning entertained my friends all through middle school, high school and college, at which point I decided to share my chin with the world," Liu explained.

How do you "chin?" You look at the camera for a selfie, push your chin down to give yourself the not so glamorous double-

chin, and then laugh at the hilarious selfie that you have just created.

But the coolest part is that she takes these "chinning" selfies while traveling all over the world and even has an Instagram account devoted to the trend called @chinventures.

I tried to take one of my own...it is harder than it looks.
