The era of the legendary restaurant known as the Circus Drive-In in Wall is scheduled to officially come to an end today as the famous building is slated be torn down.

The restaurant originally opened way back in 1954, according to news12.com, and as been a favorite spot for generations of Jersey Shore residents. Just about everyone you took to has a memory about this popular spot.

It was reported by News 12 back in September of 2017 that the property had been sold, putting to an end an era of memories and good food for so many residents of the Garden State and beyond.

It has been reported that the spot could be used as a store according to app.com, but regardless of the future, and regardless of the fact that the familiar building will no longer be there, nothing can erase the memories.

To me, the interesting thing is that even people who didn't frequent the Circus Drive-In when it was open for business still feel emotional about the demolition because of the familiarity and uniqueness of the building.

So, if all goes as scheduled, it will be the end of an era and a sad day for many at the Jersey Shore.
