After dealing with a soaking and in many areas, a flooding rain yesterday, the Jersey Shore is under a Coastal Flood advisory for this afternoon and evening.

The National Weather Service has issued the advisory for coastal New Jersey, and it's in effect between 5:00 this afternoon and 9:00 tonight. High tide is between 7:00pm and 8:00 pm., according to accuweather.com.

Wave heights will be 3-4 feet and the surge will be 1 to 1 1/2 feet, and the impact is expected to be minor flooding at the time of high tide, and of course those areas prone to flooding are at most risk.

Storms yesterday dumped a soaking rain that caused localized flooding around the Jersey Shore and even some  road closures. Showers and thunderstorms remain part of Dan Zarrow's forecast for the Jersey Shore for tonight, tomorrow and maybe even early Saturday.
