Thanksgiving Eve is one of the biggest bar hopping nights of the year which also means it is one of the most dangerous times to be out on the road.

Starting tonight at 11:00 PM and going until 3:00 AM on Thanksgiving Day, there will be an impaired-driving checkpoint in Howell hosted by the Monmouth County DWI Task Force.

Drivers going north on Route 9 will be asked to pull over into the Regal Plaza. Drivers will not only best tested on their sobriety but will be educated on the dangers of driving drunk.

Do not ever get behind the wheel after drinking. Especially now with amenities such as Uber and Lyft, there is truly no excuse. If you want to have fun, do so safely.
