Just a heads up that there will be TWO DWI checkpoints at the Jersey Shore this weekend.

The first is happening on Friday night and will last until Saturday morning and is taking place in Monmouth Beach.

It is going to be held on Ocean Aveand the plan is to have police officers conduct sobriety tests in the parking lot of the Monmouth Beach Cultural Center on random drivers as they head southbound.

The official times listed for this checkpoint are 9:00 PM on Friday evening and will last until 1:00 AM on Saturday morning.

There has been less information released regarding the 2nd DWI Checkpoint which is being run by the New Jersey State Police.

All we know is that on Saturday, August 17th, a sobriety checkpoint will be set up in the Toms River Township, Ocean County area.

"Troopers will be looking for signs of impairment due to alcohol or drugs," wrote Trooper Alejandro Goez in a statement. "If you plan on drinking, have a designated driver, arrange for transportation or stay where you are. It's not worth the risk of hurting or killing yourself, a friend, a loved one, or innocent motorist."

If you spot a dangerous drive, call #477 to make a report. They will ask you for a description of the car, the people in it, its location and the direction they were headed and the license plate number.

Remember to always driver sober because otherwise, you are putting yourself and the others around you in serious danger.

There are so many other options: Uber, Lyft, taxi, designated driver or walk (if able).
